The aim of this project was to design a visual brand identity to represent me, as a designer. The visuals I used for this brand had to reflect my personality, and aspects of myself as a designer, as well as looking engaging and professional to use for outcomes such as business cards and a CV that would be used to promote myself and apply to work.

The concept behind this final design was to reflect organisation, a prominent trait of mine, by ordering type in a listed format, but also showing my versatility and adaptability as a designer, enjoying to work on branding, ui/ux and editorial projects. I did this by linking my name, Isabel, with the letter 'i' within each word.

I further used bright colours and interesting shapes to reflect my playful and friendly personality.

Pages from my planning to show the thought process behind this concept and some colour and pattern experimentations (left).

The two main outcomes of this project were a CV design and a business card (front and back). The business card keeps a simplistic layout with the colours and shapes applied alongside the typographic list of design areas with my name, with contact details on the back. The CV utilises these same design components, but takes it the extra step by continuing the use of the highlighted 'i' to link back to my name. As well as this, the contact details are accented through the placement of the shape behind them, setting them apart from the content of the document.

I also used the typographic elements and colour scheme of this project to create this website portfolio.
